  • Paul Palmer, Chairman of the ITTA

    Paul Palmer is the Entertainment and Facilities Manager at the Margate Winter Gardens, Kent's largest entertainments venue!
    Paul has been in the post at the Winter Gardens for four years and in that time he has been responsible for bringing acts such as JLS, Paul Weller, The Specials, Michael McIntyre, The Stereophonics, Rob Brydon, Jools Holland to the area. Paul was born in Bedfordshire but moved to Thanet almost five years ago, he strongly believes that Thanet has huge potential!

         
  • Angie Curwen, Communications Director

    Angie Curwen is involved with the promotion of Quex Park in Birchington as a Visitor Destination. Quex is home to a museum of international scientific importance, a Regency house and gardens, and is Kent's most successful outdoor events venue hosting acts such as Pussy Cat Dolls, JLS, Madness as well as Country Fairs, Fireworks Parties and more. Angie was born in Sandwich and now lives in Quex Park with her husband, two children and three golden retrievers. She passionately believes that Thanet is a tourist destination to die for with burgeoning fine dining venues, creative art galleries and theatres, heritage sites, fantastic walks, a variety of attractions and not to mention our wonderful beaches.

         
  • Bill Hackney, Membership Director

    Bill Hackney runs South Lodge Guest House in Broadstairs with his wife Christa. They moved to Broadstairs only 6 years ago and now would not want to live anywhere else. Both have been involved with art for many years and see the potential of all of the Isle of Thanet with the developments of the Turner Contemporary, the high speed rail link, the beautiful coast we have and so much more.

  • Jon Burton, Larger Businesses Champion

    Jon Burton is Principal of Margate Language Centre, a British Council accredited English language school for adults in the centre of Margate. This role involves convincing people from around the world that Thanet is a great place to come and study English. Jon was born and grew up in Thanet before moving to London and then living and working in Spain and France. He moved back ten years ago and strongly believes in Thanet as a wonderful potential, and existing, destination for tourism, including educational tourism.
